“Mama, penge pera”, <\/em>I was surprised to hear my three year old ask for money. We have not introduced the concept of money to her yet but, kids are great observers. They learn from what they hear and what they see so it’s important that we, as parents, guide them along the way and educate them.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

So, when is the right time to talk about money with your kids?<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n

I did some research to see if it’s already appropriate to educate my 3 years old about money and I was surprised to find out that it’s actually okay to already introduce basic financial concepts to children as early as 3 years old, that is according to financial expert Fitz Villafuerte.<\/a><\/p>\r\n

Our children already know that we need money to buy things so it’s just right that we start educating them on how it works. This topic is usually covered at school but since we are all staying at home, and kids learn at home, might as well as start teaching them basic financial concepts.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
